ed Thank you for this solution to this agonizing problem I've been trying to solve for some time. Windows Could Not Resolve The Username I reinstalled it and all was OK (I had 1054 from Userenv and 40961 from LsaSrv error messages, too). Delete the problem computer from DNS records and re-create it. The cause was I had my network settings for my internal nic screwed up.

How about a hardware issue with the NIC, ethernet cable, or the switch port? The DC event viewer did not show any relevant information.
