I use this machine as a NX server, and I've noticed that NX is not compatible with Unity and Gnome Shell, so I have to use Gnome "classic" as desktop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The time now is 10:50 AM. Up until 11.10 Ubuntu had Gnome installed as a fall back and the No Machine NX Client I use would fall back to this with no issue.

I believe the Ubuntu repos have "FreeNX", which is a free version that was made back in the day when NoMachine (that's a company) was giving away their clients for free, Sam_ (and-sam) said on 2012-02-13: #5 11.10 also incl.
